Welcome to the inaugural edition of CPC Source, Waterloo Wellington
LHIN region. This e-newsletter is intended to keep you up-to-date
on health human resource issues in the province and your region.
I extend my personal invitation to contact me if you are interested in
discussing recruitment and retention of health-care professionals or
other health human resource issues.

• The Wave 5 application process for 30 new Family Health Teams
  is now being issued. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on June 25.
  The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has resource documents
  to assist with your application.
• The Wave 3 application process for 14 new Nurse Practitioner-led
  clinics is now being issued. The application deadline is 5 p.m.
  on June 25.
• The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has announced two
  new initiatives:
• HealthForceOntario Northern and Rural Recruitment and
  Retention Initiative (HFO N3R)
• HealthForceOntario Return of Service Program
  (HFO ROS)
• Looking for summer locums? Post your opportunities on
  HFOJobs. Don’t forget, we can do the posting for you.
• Practice Ontario is a new dedicated job search service, created by
  HFO MRA, for postgraduate medical residents. PracticeOntario @
  U of T is the first medical school to launch this service.

• The Waterloo Regional Campus (WRC) of the Michael G. DeGroote
  School of Medicine, McMaster University has relocated to the
  new University of Waterloo Health Sciences Campus in Kitchener.
  This innovative new campus brings a number of different health-care
  professionals together to work collaboratively in an exciting new
  environment.
• Congratulations to the WRC Class of 2010! The first 15 students
  admitted to the Waterloo Regional Campus in 2007 have now finished
  medical school and will go on to their residency as of July 2010.
