Welcome to the inaugural edition of CPC Source, Erie St. Clair
LHIN region. This e-newsletter from HealthForceOntario Marketing
and Recruitment Agency (HFO MRA) is intended to provide you
with new information and updates in the province and your region
that can help your recruitment and retention efforts. If you have any
questions about your health-care needs, please contact me.

• The Wave 5 application process for 30 new Family Health Teams
  is now being issued. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on June 25.
  The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has resource documents
  to assist with your application.
• The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has announced two
  new initiatives:
• HealthForceOntario Northern and Rural Recruitment and
  Retention Initiative (HFO N3R)
• HealthForceOntario Return of Service Program
  (HFO ROS)
• Looking for summer locums? Post your opportunities on
  HFOJobs. Don’t forget, we can do the posting for you.
• Practice Ontario is a new dedicated job search service, created by
  HFO MRA, for postgraduate medical residents. PracticeOntario @
  U of T is the first medical school to launch this service.

• The new Chatham CHC opened in Chatham on June 3 and is
  now seeing patients; Walpole Island will open on August 1 and
  Wallaceburg on September 1.
• The Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry graduated 139
  medical students on May 14. In other news from the School:
• Discovery Week began May 31 – Promoting Family
  Medicine to 1st-year medical students who were placed
  in communities throughout Southwestern Ontario to
  shadow family physicians and learn what their typical
  workday encompasses. The Erie St. Clair sites are
  Amherstburg, Harrow, Leamington and Chatham.
